Platform Data Use Policy

This Platform Data Use Policy explains how Vacation HubSTR, LLC ("we," "us," or"our") collects, uses, and protects data obtained through the Platform, including listing data, pricing data, rating data, and search data.This Policy applies to all users, data partners, property management companies, and other parties whose data is processed through the Platform.

1. Listing and Property Data

The Platform aggregates vacation rental listing data from third-party sources including booking platforms and property management company partners. This data includes property descriptions, photos, amenity information, pricing, availability, and location data. We use listing data solely to:

•      Power traveler search and discovery on the Platform

•      Enable price comparison and display across platforms

•      Calculate the HubSTR TrustScore for properties listed on multiple platforms

•      Improve search relevance and Platform functionality

We do not license, sell, or transfer raw listing data to third parties. Derived and aggregated data —including normalized ratings, price comparisons, and platform statistics — maybe used for internal analytics and Platform improvement.

2. Ratings and Review Data

The HubSTR Trust Score system processes guest rating data from multiple platforms to calculate normalized cross-platform rating scores and variance indicators. This processing:

•      Is performed algorithmically using our proprietary rating normalization methodology

•      Does not alter or misrepresent the underlying ratings from source platforms

•      Is designed to provide consumers with additional transparency about rating consistency, not to replace source platform ratings

•      May be displayed alongside source ratings to help travelers make informed decisions

3. Search Query Data

Natural language search queries entered into HubSTR Compass may be processed to:

•      Deliver relevant search results in real time

•      Improve the accuracy and performance of the HubSTR Compass query expansion engine

•      Understand traveler search patterns to improve Platform features

Search query data is not associated with individual user identities unless you are logged into a Platform account. We do not share individual search queries with third parties.

4. Data Partner Obligations

Property management companies and data partners who submit listing data to the Platform agree, through their executed Data Partner Agreement and Listing Submission Agreement, that:

•      All submitted data isaccurate and they have the right to provide it

•      Vacation HubSTR may display, normalize, and process the data as described in this Policy

•      Vacation HubSTR owns all derivative works and value-added data products created from submitted data, including normalized ratings, enriched listings, and platform analytics

•      Partners will promptly notify us of material inaccuracies in submitted data

5. Third-Party Platform Data

Some listing and pricing data on the Platform is obtained through affiliate APIs, data licensing agreements, or publicly available sources. Our use of such data is governed by our agreements with the applicable data providers and applicable law. We do not scrape or collect data in violation of any platform's terms of service.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect all data processed through the Platform against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. Data partners and property management companies should contact us immediately at michelle@vacationhubstr.com if they believe their data has been compromised.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated to data partners via email. Continued use of the Platform or continued data partner status after changes constitutes acceptance.
